Bag- Bandolier Loom Beaded

This large Bag- Bandolier Loom Beaded will make the centerpiece of any collection. The artist crafted it from black wool fabric and finished it with dark red fox braid trim.

The artist created a 10″ x 9″ loom-beaded maple leaf design panel using transparent red, transparent yellow, transparent green, transparent blue, and transparent cobalt blue beads on a white background. Ten beaded tassels with red wool yarn accents hang from the bottom of the bag. At the top of the bag, the artist added a floral motif done with applique stitching. The beadwork remains exceptionally clean and well-executed, and the bag is believed to be approximately 20 to 30 years old. The bag features a red calico fabric lining and a matching red calico fabric back.  The bag itself measures 15″ x 12.5″.

The wide, fully beaded shoulder strap is a remarkable feature. The artist carried the maple leaf design around the entire strap using the same transparent red, transparent yellow, transparent green, transparent blue, and transparent cobalt blue beads on a white background. The strap measures 5.25″ wide by 31″ long, while the continuous maple leaf beadwork extends approximately 59″ and contains about 70 beads per row. The artist also added four beaded tassels with red wool yarn accents to each side of the strap.

Measuring an impressive 46″ in overall length, this substantial bag displays outstanding craftsmanship and carries a pleasing weight. It remains in very good condition and will make a beautiful addition to any collection.
