This Gunstock Club Painted Red is 25″ long. The crafter painted it Red and added 1/2″ Brass Tack decorations on the sides, the top and the bottom. The club handle is rounded at the end.
Native Americans often fashioned wooden clubs that resembled the stock end of a musket. Sometimes they added blades made of flint or metal to increase their lethality. They also embellished them with Brass Tacks, paint and etched or carved designs.
The Club measures approximately 25″ long, The end of this club is pointed. You will find it an excellent addition to your Native American regalia! One of a Kind!
Gunstock clubs, also known as gunstock war clubs, are indigenous weapons used by many Native American groups. They are named for their resemblance to the wooden stocks of muskets and rifles. They were typically made from hardwoods like maple, ash, oak, hickory, or hornbeam, and weighed around two to three pounds.
