Fancy Flaring Style Soapstone Pipe
Our crafter created this Fancy Flaring Style Soapstone Pipe in the style of 18th century trade pipes. He chipped and etched the bowl in various geometric designs. Pipes like this have been found primarily in northeastern North America.
The artist added a hole to the pipe bowl. That holds a leather lanyard that will keep the bowl and stem together. He hand drilled and sanded the wood stem.
The Pipe Bowl measures 3.5″ high and 1.5″ across. The stem measures approx. 7″ x 0.5″.
