Basket- Dyed Ash Splits
Add this Antique Basket- Dyed Ash Splits to your basket collection. The basket maker created this basket from ash wood splints. The weaver then dyed a few of the thinner splits a dark brown and weaved them in to a pattern. This basket stands 10 inches tall, and 13.5″ in diameter. The bottom of the basket is square and measures 10.5 inches x 10.5 inches. Crafted in the early 1900s, the basket is well used, with broken splints in several areas, and the top ring has come unravel. It still shows strong character and remains a solid display piece for any collection. The basket carries strong character and displays beautifully, even with its age‑appropriate wear.
