Blue and Red Wool Elk Tooth Girl’s Dress
Master Craftsman Andy Bullock created this beautiful reproduction child’s wool and elk tooth dress. He used salvage edge trade cloth. During the dying process, the wool is attached it to a frame and dipped into blue dye. When the frame is removed the white wool is untouched creating the beautiful salvage edge on the bottom of the dress. Small brass and larger metal sequins adorn the bottom of both the front and back of the dress. The top pf the dress has blue silk trim with greasy yellow seed beads.
Ceramic elk teeth decorate the front of the dress. The crafter added black paint to give them an authentic look. He attached the teeth with white brain tanned leather lace. Andy created the sleeves with red wool and added a blue and yellow vintage trim. The bottom of the sleeves have a strip of gold silk ribbon and brass sequins.
This Wool and Elk Tooth Dress measures approx. 28″ long and 18″ wide. The sleeves are 9″ long.
