Dance Stick with Otter Fur and Beads

This hand-crafted Dance Stick with Otter fur showcases a striking combination of otter fur and a deer‑toe drop accented with old‑style brass beads. Two sections of otter fur, measuring approximately 3 inches and 5 inches, add texture to the upper portion of the piece. Two Spanish turkey feathers hang from Braintanned leather lacing and display trade beads.

Additional Braintanned leather lacing hangs from the shaft that the crafter strung with  trade beads, old‑fashioned brass beads, and light blue pony beads. A red wool panel with a selvedge edge hangs at the center.  The crafter attached six brass bells and translucent blue pony beads to the edge of the wool piece.  The materials and craftsmanship work together to create a powerful, traditional piece with strong visual presence. The dance stick measures approximately 26.5 inches long.
