Hand‑Painted Scalp Feathers with Beaded Rosette

These Scalp Feathers- Hand-painted Hawk Feathers feature an open beaded rosette (it doesn’t have a backing on it).   The crafter painted two white turkey feathers to resemble hawk feathers. He beaded the rosette with 10/0 seed beads in black, white, orange, light green, red, and transparent green, and measures 1.5 inches across.

Each feather measures 9.5 inches long. The crafter wrapped the lower section in white deerskin leather and secured the rosette at the center.
