Roach- 4.5″ Teardrop

This Roach- 4.5″ Teardrop is ready to wear. The crafter built it on a yarn base and strung one row of porcupine hair with an outer row of red deer hair. The front hair stands 6 inches high. This roach includes a form for proper storage. The Teardrop section measures approximately 4.5 inches long and 2 inches wide at its widest point. This roach is used, but you will find it in good,  fully usable condition.

One of a Kind!

Porcupine hair roaches are one type of traditional headwear for Native American Dance Regalia.  You can attach a roach to your head with a small hair braid (or scalplock) pulled though the center hole and fasten with a roach pin, and or use a roach spreader.
