Floral Beaded Cape

This unique floral beaded cape dates from the 1950s – 1960s. The maker created a vibrant floral design on black velvet using bugle beads. They added a floral calico blue lining. The maker also worked the elaborate net fringe with tube bugle beads—some transparent, some clear, and some color‑lined—which adds depth and shimmer to the fringe. This cape measures approx. 15 inches across the shoulders, 11.5 inches long, and 15 inches across the back. A few beads are missing, consistent with age and use.
