Basket - Antique Salish Large

You will find this Antique Salish Basket structurally in very good condition. We think the weaver created this basket around 1920.
Salish basket makers traditionally used Cedar Root to create their baskets. They dyed Beargrass and wrapped that around the base splints to create a design.
This Basket comes with four loops to hold separate handles that are also wrapped.  Geometric designs appear on four sides of the basket. It includes Black, light Natural and reddish Brown colors.
The wrapped design shows several breaks. The wide band around the bottom has also broken. Several of the bottom wraps are also missing or broken. The bottom remains intact.
You will find this basket a pleasing addition to your collection!
It measures 7" high x 15" long x 6.5" wide at the top. The bottom measures 12.5" x 4".
