Antique Child Moccasins – Plains Style
Antique Child Moccasins - Plains StyleWe offer these Antique Plains Style Moccasins sized for a child. We believe these come from the early 20th century. The crafter made them with Braintanned Deerskin Leather and stitched them with real sinew. He or she beaded a simple design on the vamp using old color beads in White Center Red, Periwinkle, Greasy Yellow and Cobalt Blue. There is also some evidence of yellow paint applied to them. They have rawhide soles.
Considering their age, these moccasins remain in good condition. The front lacing is intact. There is some string attached to the back. They may have hung from this string for display.
These moccasins measure approx. 5" long x 2" wide. They stand 1.5" high at the ankle.
You will find these moccasins a delightful addition to a collection of antique clothing or beadwork!
