Antique Apache Coiled Basket

This Antique Apache Coiled Basket comes from the early 20th century.  It shows a lovely patina and is in very good condition!
Apache basket makers use a coil technique with 3 'rods' of willow or cottonwood.  They wrap these with strands of willow (natural white) and devil's claw (black).  The basket maker created a radiating star design.  She added some bits of red (possibly yucca root) at the points of the largest star.
This Basket measures 14.75" across the top.  It is shallow, standing just 3" high.
A previous owner had this Basket on display.  Structurally it remains in very good condition with no breaks or damage.  You will see some white marks on the bottom.
