This 3 row Glass Wampum Bracelet features White, Trans Red, Light Blue and Cobalt Blue beads. Master Craftsman Andy Bullock made it with Gold colored deerskin leather lacing.  This Bracelet comes with Light Blue Crow Bead closures so you can adjust the fit. One size fits all!

One of a Kind.

A wampum bracelet is a piece of traditional Native American jewelry thus crafted from wampum beads. The bracelets are typically strung together with leather, sinew, or plant fibers and can feature intricate patterns and designs, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of the maker.  Native Americans originally used beads they made from the shells of Quahog Clams and Whelk shells. Native Americans from Northeastern North America used these beads to make necklaces, belts, arm bands, and as decorations for clothing. Wampum shell was made into discs and cylindrical straight-sided beads measuring about 1/8” long with a hole drilled through them.  When Glass Wampum beads became available, Native American crafters began to use looms to create elaborate multi-row belts and straps.

Wampum Belts

One of the oldest known Wampum Belts is the Hiawatha Belt, which dates to the mid 16th century. It recorded the formation of the League of the Iroquois. This belt has a pattern that shows four hollow squares outlined in white and a white tree shaped design in the center, all connected by white lines. The five nations represented in this belt were the Seneca, the Cayuga, the Onondaga, the Oneida, and the Mohawk.  The belt maker created this belt using the same technique that our crafter used to make this Bracelet 3 Row Wampum on a much larger scale.
