This large vintage knife was made by Green River Works and carries the maker’s stamp on the blade. The knife measures approximately 15 inches in overall length. The 9.5‑inch blade shows the classic Green River profile and workmanship.

Green River Works began in the 1830s in Massachusetts and quickly built a reputation as one of the most respected American cutlery makers. The company produced knives that became iconic on the western frontier, and its consistent quality inspired the saying “up to Green River,” meaning a job done exceptionally well.
