Basket- Birchbark with Lid
This fabulous Basket- Birchbark with Lid Container features Floral etchings around the container and the cover. The artist used spruce root to hold the container together. They made the cover with two pieces of Birchbark. The cover is very sturdy and you can take it completely off the container. The artist attached the bottom with Imitation Sinew for extra sturdiness. A spruce branch around the top adds stability to the container. A piece of Deerskin Leather Lacing serves as a carrying handle.
This container stands 16 inches tall and measures 11.5 inches in diameter. It remains in very good condition and displays beautifully.
