This fully beaded Strike-a-Lite Bag Pale Blue will make a colorful addition to your collection. The crafter began with Braintanned Deerskin Leather.  He created a geometric design on a Crow Pale Blue background using 10/0 Seed Beads in  Cheyenne Pink, White, Navy Blue, Green and White Center Red.  Drops of Braintanned Deerskin Leather Lacing strung with 1 inch Tin Cones, Brass Beads and black Horsehair hang from the top.  On the bottom he added a row of 1 inch Tin Cones.  Braintanned Deerskin Leather Lacing serves as the neck strap.

The bag measures 3.2″ wide at the bottom, 2.5″ wide at the top, and 6.5″ long including the tin cones.

A Strike-a-Lite bag is a small, often elaborately decorated pouch traditionally used by Native Americans —especially those from the Central and Southern Plains—to carry fire-starting tools such as flint, steel strikers, and tinder. These bags served both practical and symbolic purposes, often reflecting the artistry and cultural identity of the maker.
