Braintanned Reproduction Northern Plains Style Moccasins

These Moccasins Repro Northern Plains are made with Braintanned Deerskin Leather.  The crafter used White, Black , Greasy Yellow and White Center Red Seed beads to create lazy stitch designs on the vamps, sides and heels.  He also added a stripe of Yellow Paint down the center of the vamp.  The moccasins have Strap Leather soles and Braintanned Deerskin Leather Lacing ties.

Native Americans of the Northern Plains region come from areas like the Great Plains, stretching from the Midwest to the Rocky Mountains.  Their moccasins feature  a simple, slip-on shape that wraps around the foot with a single seam at the heel.

These Moccasins measure about 11.5 inches long x 4 inches at the widest point.  They stand about 4 inches tall.  A previous owner wore these Moccasins as a Men’s size 11.5.   You will see signs of wear on them, especially on the bottom.  There are a few places where some of the beads have come off.  These Moccasins Repro Northern Plains are in wearable condition.  One of a Kind!
