Dress up your dance outfit with this Hood Beaded Black & Red. The crafter made this traditional Mic Mac style headwear with a combination of black and bright Red wool fabric. He used green ribbon on the edges and yellow for the seam between the wool pieces. The top section features beaded designs the crafter made with White Seed Beads. The crafter attached six Brooches to the bottom section. On the green ribbon trim, the crafter attached pairs of white Seed beads. He lined the inside with a Calico patterned fabric. One of A Kind!
Native Americans from the Northeast wear peaked caps or hoods like these. Crafters often decorate them with beads or ribbonwork, but they can also leave them plain. This Hood measures 19.5 inches to the top of the peak and 10.5 inches wide (lying flat). This Hood Beaded Black & Red is in new condition. One of a Kind!
