Macaw Feather Fan with Beaded Handle

This Fan Macaw Beaded Handle stands out with bright feathers and embellishments!   The crafter made this Dance Fan with Blue Macaw Feathers.  He wrapped each quill with Gold, Red and Blue thread and Nickel Spots.   At the top of each feather he attached bright red feather tips and dotted each with bits of ermine fur.   Each feather is fronted with bright red feather tips wrapped with Ermine fur.   In the center he added two wrapped sticks topped with yellow feather tips.

The crafter shaped a handle and covered it with a Peyote Stitch design in 11/0 cut Seed Beads.  He used  Alabaster, Yellow Orange, Orange, Yellow, Red, Wine and Black Seed Beads to create the pattern.  Six inches of Twisted White Leather Fringe hangs from the bottom.

This fan measures about 14 inches long not including the fringe.    A previous owner used this fan, so you will see soiling on the Twisted Fringe.   It remains in excellent, usable condition.
