Antique Arapaho Style Child’s Moccasins

These Antique Moccasins- Arapaho Style Child’s display a bold cross design on the vamp. The pattern reflects early Plains beadwork traditions. It features white, greasy yellow, and cobalt blue 11/0 seed beads. A skilled maker crafted them around 1910. They stitched the Braintanned deer hide and a rawhide sole with real sinew.

You will see that the moccasins have been worn in the past.  The beadwork remains fully intact.  The moccasins measure 6.5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.  This pair offers collectors an excellent example of Arapaho‑style craftsmanship, Plains beadwork, and historic deerskin leather construction. It stands out as a well‑preserved piece for any curated collection.
