These Cree Snowshoe style moccasins will definitely keep your feet warm! Andy believes they are made from hand-tanned Deerskin Leather. The crafter probably made them in the 1950s. They have a reinforced sole. A fabric topper on the shaft shares the same color as the leather.Fur that is possibly caribou covers the shaft. Royal Blue wool duffle lines the insides. A Turquoise blue rickrack ribbon decorates the vamp. A Leather Lacing tie tightens them around your ankle or calf.
A previous owner wore them, so you will see worn spots and discoloration. One moccasin has a small hole in the back where the fur pieces meet. You will also see a couple of patches applied to the feet.
But these moccasins remain in very good condition, though they do shed a bit. Take them for a walk on the next cold day and see how your feet like them!
Overall, they measure 19" from the sole to the top of the wool duffle. The sole measures 12" long on the outside. We believe they are a Men's size 9 or 10.
