Our Embossed Gorgets measure 6.5 inches x 6 inches.  Each comes with rolled edges and holes for a suspension cord.  They come from India. You will find them lightweight so they will not add an additional burden to your neck or shoulders when you wear one.

Metal Gorgets were originally worn by European military officers in the 18th century. In North America, Europeans gave gorgets to Native American leaders as trade goods. Over time, these pieces became prized trade items and a noticeable part of Native American regalia in the Eastern United States. You will find these Gorget – Embossed are very appropriate for French and Indian War period regalia.
