Snowshoes Vintage Two Pairs
We are selling two pairs of Vintage Snowshoes together! The original owners constructed these snowshoes with sturdy wood and strung them with rawhide lacing, then coated them with waterproofing varnish. The longer pair has leather bindings for securing the wearer's feet. One snowshoe is 63 1/4" long by 9" at its widest point, the other is 61 1/2" by 9. The shorter snowshoe also has a 10 3/4" long brace lashed to one side of the frame where a fracture has occurred. The shorter pair of snowshoes do not have foot binding. They are 54 1/2" long by 9 wide and 53 3/4" long by 9 1/4" wide respectively. One of them has been reinforced with nylon cord where the original rawhide has since broken (see photo).These snowshoes are in decent overall condition for their age. Both pairs need a little work and can be repaired using the proper techniques.
