SOLD If you are looking for a magnificent Roach for your next event, check out this Roach Porcupine Large Red.  It features six rows of porcupine hair.  The crafter tied 2 full rows, 2 half rows and 2  3/4 rows of porcupine hair to make it.  It has an outside row of red Deer Hair and an multicolored yarn base.   The crafter attached shoe laces for ties. The front hair stands an impressive 8.5 inches high.  This roach comes with a wood form for storage.  One of a Kind! Porcupine hair roaches are one type of traditional headwear for Native American Dance Regalia.  You can attach a roach to your head with a small hair braid (or scalplock) pulled though the center hole and fasten with a roach pin, and or use a roach spreader.  Hair base roaches are an early form of roaches. To make them, the crafter must tie hundreds of bundles of hair then sew them together to form the base. This Roach Porcupine Large Red measures approximately 15 inches long and 4.25 inches wide at the widest point.  We got this roach from a collection.  You will find it very good, usable condition.  One of a Kind!
