You will love this Quilled Birchbark Box by Penobscot artist B Dana! The artist made this mini Birchbark Box with a cover. He created a quilled Double Curve design along with some etchings on the cover. The artist etched the image of a Moose, Pine Trees and a Moose hoof print on the sides of the Box. He used spruce root to hold it together. A bent spruce branch stabilizes the top opening. He used two pieces of Birchbark for the cover with some Sweetgrass wrapped around the edge. The cover is very sturdy and you can take it completely off the container. On the bottom of the Box, you will see ‘BDANA’ stamped into the bark.This Box stands 4″ tall with the cover on. The bottom measures 4" x 3.5". This piece came from a collection. It is in very good condition. You will see a broken quill on the cover design. Use it for storage or display. One of a Kind!
