Beaded Leather War Shirt

Beaded Leather War Shirt

This One of a Kind leather War Shirt was previously owned. The shirt was likely created in the 1950s using Cheyenne style beaded strips made around 1910.
The beaded strips are sewn with sinew, while the shirt itself is sewn with cotton thread. This Beaded Leather War Shirt is made with white deerskin that has been colored with yellow pigment on the shoulders and green pigment marks in several spots. There is red wool at the neckline and fringe on the sleeves, hem and front and back bibs. The sides are open from the sleeve down.
Approx. measurements 36" long (the front is shorter than the back), 19" at the shoulder and 22" long sleeves.
