This Beautiful handmade Antique Ash & Twisted Rush Footed Basket features three basketwork feet. The feet remain intact, but they are not quite as long as the basket bottom. So the basket sits at an angle and wobbles a little bit. The outside colors have faded. But you can still see the Red-Orange color on the inside and the bottom.The basket maker adorned this basket with twisted rush fibers. These lend a unique & appealing texture. The maker added curled ash splints to the lid of the basket. The rim of the lid also features a Sweetgrass border.
This Basket remains in very good condition. It measures 5.5" high with the lid on. The lid measures 5.5" in diameter.
