Bird Shaped Pottery Dish
This Pottery Bird Dish can hold small items for you, or make a welcome addtion to your collection. The potter created this small bird shaped dish with clay. He or she painted a zigzag pattern on the outside with black paint. On the inside you will find a painted flower surrounded by dots all painted with black. The potter added the eyes, mouth and feathers to the head part of the dish. On the bottom, you will see someone has written ‘150’. Use his piece to store small items or display it with your collection. One of a Kind!
Native American Pottery
Native American potters in the Southwestern United States make traditional style pottery. Their pottery usually features very thin walls, a desirable characteristic. Many of these artists create their pottery using hand coiled techniques. They often use slip colors in Black, White and dark Red.
This Pottery Bird Dish stands about 3 inches tall at the head. The main part of the dish stands about 1.75 inches high. The bowl measures about 3 inches x 3.5 inches in diameter. We got this piece from a collection. It is in good condition. It shows minimal signs of wear. One of a Kind!
