Totem Pole- Northwest Coast Style

Add this delightful 12-inch cedar Totem Pole- Northwest Coast Style to your collection! Expertly carved from a single piece of cedar wood, this Totem Pole features five animals including depictions of a bird, a wolf with a fish and a bear. The artist did not paint this item, but gave it a light coating of stain or polyurethane.  This miniature totem pole comes from a private collection.  You will see areas that have chipped off and other scratches.  There are words stamped on the back. We estimate the crafter made this pole between 1970-1980.

One of a Kind!

A totem pole is a traditional Native American and First Nations monument or sculpture carved from large trees.  Artists from the Pacific Northwest of North America typically use cedar wood to create these impressive sculptures.  They carve various symbols and figures on them.  These symbols and figures can represent animals, birds, supernatural beings, ancestral spirits, or mythological creatures.  You will usually find these figures stacked on top of each other.
