Moccasins Antique Quilled & Beaded

These Moccasins Antique Quilled & Beaded feature both Quillwork and Beadwork on the vamps.  They are very old and no longer intact.  The crafter used Red, Purple, Green and Natural Porcupine Quills to for the quilled portion of the vamp.  He then added floral and geometric designs around the side with Turquoise, Transparent Red, White, Greasy Yellow, Cobalt Blue and Transparent Green Seed Beads.  On the heel of one of them you will also see some remaining Cheyenne Pink Beads.   The crafter made these Moccasins with Braintanned Deerskin Leather and a Rawhide sole.

You will find these moccasins have been well worn and are no longer intact.  Part of one side is missing.  They are flattened and missing beads.  The quillwork is intact but damaged in places.  They are large and measure approximately 11 inches in length by 5 inches wide.   One of a Kind.
