Rawhide Containers Set of 2

This Rawhide Containers Set of 2 are a near matched pair.  The crafter pieced together Rawhide with Deerskin Leather Lacing to make the containers.  He added strips of Red Wool to each corner.  The containers feature nearly identical painted geometric designs.  The crafter painted them with Blue, Red, Gold, Green, Black and White pigment paints on the top and sides.  Deerskin Leather Lacing serve as closure ties for the top.

Each container measures 21″ long,  10″ wide and 10″ high.  We got them from a collection so you will see signs of wear.  They are in good condition.  We are selling them as a set.  One of a Kind!

Rawhide serves as a durable material for making shields and containers of many sizes and shapes.  These versatile containers held food, clothing, personal belongings, and important cultural items.
