Description
Pottery Small Old Laguna Pueblo
This small pot comes from the Old Laguna Pueblo in New Mexico. The potter created it by covering it with white slip. He or she painted the designs with red and black paint. The botanical design repeats four times on the outside of the pot. On the bottom you will see the potter’s signature L. A. Cheromiah. Old Laguna Pottery is very similar to Acoma pottery in color and design.
A previous owner had this pot in a collection. You will see some very small chips and marks on it. Overall, this pot remains in excellent condition.
This small Old Laguna Pueblo pot stands 4″ tall. It measures about 4.75″ in diameter at its widest point. The top opening measures just under 3.5″ in diameter.
