Basket- Pima Style

This beautiful handwoven Basket- Pima Style features tightly coiled grass and yucca, with devil’s claw creating the dark designs. The weaver incorporated a geometric motif.  The flat, round base provides excellent stability. The basket measures 8″ in diameter and stands about 3.25″ tall. This basket is in excellent condition.  One of a Kind!

Pima weavers—now known as the Tohono O’odham—created this style of basket to appeal to tourists traveling through the Southwest in the early 1900s.
