One of a Kind.

An Inuit-style grass basket is a remarkable example of traditional Arctic craftsmanship, blending functionality with artistry. These baskets are typically woven from native grasses, such as beach rye or arctic grass, which are both durable and flexible. The weaving technique used in creating these baskets is meticulous, often involving intricate patterns and designs that reflect the Inuit cultural heritage. These baskets are not only practical items but also hold cultural significance. They represent the resourcefulness and creativity of the Inuit people, who have adapted their traditional skills to the harsh Arctic environment. One of the distinctive features are their decorative elements. Some baskets are adorned with dyed grasses to create colorful patterns.
