Basket- Handkerchief Passamaquoddy Style

This antique Basket- Handkerchief Passamaquoddy style will make a striking addition to any collection. The maker skillfully wove ½-inch-wide ash splints with sweetgrass braids to form a crisp crisscross pattern. They added a finishing touch by incorporating more sweetgrass and ash into a finely crafted handle for the lid. Measuring approximately 9½” by 9½”, the basket features a 4″ square opening with its lid in place and stands 2″ high.  You will find it in good condition.
