These Cree-style Moccasins- Youth Moosehide Leather are crafted from brain-tanned moosehide leather, offering both durability and cultural authenticity. The vamp features a soft white wool insert adorned with a delicate hair tufting design, showcasing traditional artistry passed down through generations. Fur accents on the cuffs provide warmth and texture, while the natural moosehide ensures comfort and flexibility for little feet.  These moccasins are used but have lots of life left in them.

One of a Kind.

Cree artisans craft moccasins to express cultural identity, skill, and connection to the land. Thus, they use smoked moosehide or deerskin to create soft soles for quiet movement—ideal for hunting, snowshoeing, and ceremony. Many follow a two-piece design with an apron insert, a style rooted in the Red River region by the early 1800s.  European traders and voyageurs embraced Cree moccasins for their comfort and durability. Today, communities preserve and celebrate them through museum collections and initiatives like the Moccasin Identifier, which affirms treaty relationships and Indigenous presence across Turtle Island.
