Gourd Dance Regalia Rattle and Fan Set

This Gourd Dance Rattle Fan Set offers exceptional craftsmanship and eye‑catching materials that elevate any regalia. The Gourd Dance Rattle features a detailed beadwork handle. The crafter built the rattle from a metal shaker and fitted it with a sturdy wood‑dowel handle. They added three beaded tubes measuring between 0.25″ – 5″ long.   The crafter use 11/0 cut seed beads in red, yellow, green, white, rose pink, periwinkle, and navy blue to create the geometric designs.  The crafter added 7″ of white twisted leather fringe to the bottom.  At the top they attached 4″ of white horsehair. The rattle measures 16.5″  long overall not including the twisted fringe.

The accompanying loose‑feather fan features vibrant Macaw parrot feathers.  The crafter wrapped red, yellow and blue thread around the base of each feather, adding extra color and detail.   They cut two of the Macaw feathers and topped them with smaller feathers and Ermine fur.  The crafter added colored feathers to the front of each plume and wrapped the base of each feather bundle with white leather. They inserted the feathers individually into the metal handle which screws securely into the beaded base.

The crafter used Peyote Stitch to create a 4.5″ long beaded tube for the handle. They made the bold geometric designs with 11/0 cut seed beads in red, yellow, green, white, rose pink, periwinkle, and navy blue to match the Gourd Dance Rattle handle. Twisted leather fringe extends 7.5″  from the handle, with a tiny cross pendant adding an eye‑catching accent.  The fan measures 18″ long overall not including the twisted fringe. This set will be a  standout choice for dance regalia or display.
