Ribbon Shirt- Maroon Silk

This Maroon Silk Ribbon Shirt comes with cream ribbon trim across the front, cuffs, and back. Ivory pinstripes in varying widths add striking detail. The shirt includes a white silk scarf measuring 36″ x 36″.  Crafted from silky fabric, it offers a smooth, elegant drape. Velcro closures secure the cuffs for a comfortable fit. Designed in a loose, pull‑over style, the shirt features an open neck that maintains its shape without stretch.

The shirt measures approximately 33 inches long and 24 inches wide (lying flat).  There is a 8.5 inch wide neck opening (lying flat).  The sleeves measure 24 inches long.  The wrist measures 4 inches wide lying flat.  A previous owner wore this shirt.  You will see a couple of small holes on the sleeves and a few small stains, but it is still in good wearable condition.

Ribbon shirts are traditional regalia worn by many Native Americans. In particular, they hold a special place in powwows, ceremonies, and cultural gatherings. They evolved from European trade shirts and became adorned with silk ribbons, which were highly valued for their vibrant colors and symbolism.
