One of a Kind.

A painted rawhide knife case is a traditional Native American accessory used to store and protect knives. These cases are typically made from rawhide, which is the untanned hide of an animal, often buffalo. The rawhide is cleaned, stretched, and shaped into a case that fits the knife snugly. Crafters paint them with vibrant colors and intricate designs, often using earth pigments. Common colors include red, green, yellow, blue, and black. Some cases may have leather fringes, handles, or leather lacing for easy carrying and attachment.
