The Hudson Bay Company traded White Heart Trade Beads with North American Native Americans for furs during 1800s.  These reproduction  beads are bi-layered with the center being white and the outer layer a translucent red.  They are one of the more well-recognized glass trade beads and are also called Cornaline D’Allepo or Hudson’s Bay beads.
These are beautiful 9mm beads reproduction  white center red beads!  Our 9 mm white center red  Trade Beads are available in a limited quantity.  Each strand holds about 80 round beads.

History of Trade Beads

From the 15th to the 20th century, traders carried European glass beads across the world. The beads were highly desired by Native Americans, as glass was then an unknown substance in North America. European glass beads became popular and sought after by Native Americans. Europeans realized early on that beads were important to Native Americans and corporations such as the Hudson Bay Trading Company developed lucrative bead-trading markets with them. The Hudson Bay Trading Company was an organized group of explorers who operated during the 19th century. They ventured into the North American continent for trade expeditions.
