Add this Aqua Whimsy Watch Pocket to your collection! The crafter made floral designs with White and Clear Seed Beads on a Blue fabric background. White Seed Bead edge beading outlines both pieces. The crafter used cardboard for the backing. You will see some bead loss on the dainty beaded fringe. This piece was made circa 1920s to 1930s.This Beaded Watch Pocket Whimsy is a classic example of a Beaded Whimsy tourist souvenir. Native American crafters in the border regions between Canada and the United States at the turn of the 20th century created many of these whimsies for the tourist trade. This whimsy comes in the shape of a wall pocket that holds your pocket watch.
This Watch Pocket measures 8″ tall x 5″ at the widest point.
