Will you be the next lucky owner of this souvenir booklet?  Souvenir of Buffalo Ranch and Its Owners is a booklet with pages shaped like a Buffalo head.  Short essays describe the Buffalo Ranch of Gordon W. Lillie, Pawnee Bill. Inside you will find lots of sepia toned photographs of the ranch and its illustrious visitors with illustrations decorating the edges of the pages.  Part game preserve and part health spa, Lillie tried to provide visitors with a taste of the Old West with all the comforts of home.  He lobbied for government protection of the Buffalo.  He ran a few different 'wild west' shows around the turn of the 20th century.  The ranch still exists as a museum today.
This booklet was a promotional keepsake. It was published in 1911.  A previous owner bound it into a hard cover to keep in intact. The pages are intact and in good condition. You will see creases  and small tears on the covers.  The shaped pages measure approximately 9" x 7.5".  The outer cover measures 10" x 8" and says "PAWNEE BILL" on the front.
