Quilled Basket Multicolor

You can not get your hands on this gorgeous Quilled Basket fast enough!  The three dimensional Quillwork and multitude of bright colors will enchant you!
The basketmaker Jane Pangowish signed the bottom of this Basket.  It also comes with a card that states Jane made it on Manitoulin Island in Ontario Canada.  She used natural Birchbark to create a 'double' bottom with an insert that rises higher than the outside container. To each rim of the Basket, Jane added multiple strands of Sweetgrass.
On the lid, Jane crafted a Star design with natural Porcupine Quills for the background and Red, Orange, Yellow, Purple, and Olive Green Porcupine Quills.  Four bands of color appear on the sides of the lid as well.  Along the sides of the bottom, Jane created triangular shapes and bands from the same assortment of colors.  The lid fits nicely on the bottom.
A previous collector owned this Quilled Basket. You will find that it remains in excellent condition!  Add it to your Quillwork collection or use it to store small items.
The Basket stands approx. 2.75" tall with the lid on. The diameter is 4.25".
