Pottery Short Antique Hopi Bowl
Pottery Short Antique Hopi Bowl
This Antique Hopi Bowl stands just 2.25" tall forming a shallow dish. The potter created it sometime in the early 20th century. He or she covered it with slip and painted the designs with black paint. The designs show an unusual 'speckled' look in a couple of places.A previous owner had this pot in a collection. You will see some very tiny chips in the paint. On the bottom you will see GE/40 written in pencil. It also shows evidence of uneven firing with dark and light areas on the outside. Overall, this pot remains in excellent condition.
This Antique Hopi Bowl stands 2.25" tall. It measures about 5.25" in diameter at its widest point. The top opening measures just under 4.25" in diameter.
