Don't miss your chance to own this Antique Cree Style Pipe Bag!  Looking fabulous for its age, it will be the centerpiece of your beadwork collection!
The crafter started with Braintanned Deerskin to make the Pipe Bag. He or she used lots of transparent Seed Beads to make the classic floral design, including Clear Red, Amber, Clear Green and Clear Teal. In addition, he or she also used Cheyenne Pink, Pony Trader Blue and White Center Red. Then the crafter added a strip of very fine fringe to the bottom of the Pipe Bag.
A previous owner took exceptional care of this Pipe Bag.  You will find very little bead loss on the panels. Most of the damage is at the top where the ties are. You will see tears and places where the Clear Red edge beading has come off.  There is also staining and soiling on the beads and the leather.
This Antique Cree Style Pipe Bag measures 15" long not including the top ties or the 8" of very fine fringe. The beaded panels measure 5.5" x 4.5".  The Braintanned Deerskin Leather is very thin and fine.
