SOLD Add this one-of-a-kind Knife Sheath- Quillwork Orange with Edge-Beading to your collection. Handcrafted on Braintan Leather, the crafter applied dyed porcupine quills in striking pattern with Orange, White and Brown. Orange and Red  Seed beads frame the edges, adding vibrant contrast and dimension. A leather strap anchors the top for secure attachment. The crafter added Drops on all around using Braintanned lacing and 1.5" tin cones.
The sheath measures approximately 8 inches long and 2 inches wide at the opening, with a 1.5-inch entry point for your blade. This is a distinctive piece—rich in texture, tradition, and artistry. One of a Kind.
Quillwork knife sheaths carry a rich legacy of artistry, symbolism, and cultural identity among Indigenous peoples of North America—especially those from the Subarctic, Northeastern Woodlands, and Northern Plains regions. Common patterns included geometric bands, zigzags, and abstracted spiritual symbols like the thunderbird. These motifs were often symmetrical and deeply symbolic.
