Iroquois Beaded Box Whimsy
This Antique Iroquois Beaded Box Whimsy is heavily beaded all over. It is a classic example of the Beaded Whimsy tourist souvenirs created by the Native Americans in the border regions between Canada and the United States at the turn of the 20th century. This large Antique Beaded Box Whimsy features velveteen on two sides and the top, with wool covering the other two sides. There is a lid on the top. Profusely beaded with clear glass beads, the geometric designs are purple and bright red. The Antique Beaded Box Whimsy has double beaded loops/straps for hanging or carrying. It measures 5" across X 3-1/4" deep and 3-3/4" tall.
