Breastplate Vintage Plastic Hairpipe
You will appreciate the patina on this Vintage Plains Style Breastplate! The craftsman used 4 1/2" Plastic Hairpipe, 1 1/2" Plastic Hairpipe, and Solid Brass Beads. Strap Leather Breastplate Strips divide the four sections of the Breastplate. Brass Beads decorate the top straps. On the front you will find a 3" Pink Conch Shell Concho. From this hangs an Ermine Tail, part of a 2nd Ermine Tail and some faded Blue, Yellow and White 1/2" wide x 15" long Ribbons.This Breastplate measures 21" long and 13" wide. Because of its age, the Leather has dried out. The Brass Beads have corroded. You can carefully display this Breastplate, but it requires re-stringing if you want to wear it.
