Antique Apache Style Bag

This Antique Apache Style Bag features beadwork on both sides! The crafter created  floral and  geometric designs on the front and beaded borders on the back of this Braintanned Deerskin Leather Bag. He or she used Pony Trader Blue, White, Navy Blue and Transparent Red Seed Beads. Two 1.5" Beaded Tassels hang from the center of the main design. The crafter added 3" long beaded Fringe in the same colors to the bottom of the Bag.  Edge beading in Pony Trader Blue and White appears along all sides of the Bag.  Deerskin Leather Lacing serves as a drawstring closure.
This Bag measures approximately 6" x 4" not including the Fringe.  It was made around 1920.  Some of the Fringe strands are gone, but there is minimal bead loss otherwise.  You will see holes and discoloration on the Deerskin Leather.  It is in good condition for its age. One of a Kind!
