German Silver Concho Pin Featuring Arrowhead Silhouette

This Pin- Concho Arrowhead Silhouette has two tack pins on the back for secure attachment.  The crafter started with  a  2.5‑inch German silver concho and cut out an arrowhead shape in the center.  Then he framed the cutout area with crisp, hand‑stamped detailing. This pin will wear beautifully on jackets, hats, or other regalia.

German silver traces its history to 18th‑century Europe, where metalworkers developed nickel silver for bright, durable ornamentation. By the 19th century, the alloy appeared in jewelry, buckles, and small fittings, which helped establish its role in modern accessories.  As German silver moved through trade networks, Native American artisans adopted the alloy for regalia and created scarf slides, conchos, and pins with stamped cultural motifs.
